Edison Chen press release on his sex photos scandal

Exactly one week after the scandal first broke, Edison Chen has finally broke his silence and released an apology video clip through his lawyer to the media this evening. The video clip sees Edison Chen decked in a white collared shirt sitting by himself in front of a greyish-white background as he read his statement.

Making his first public statement since the scandal broke, there was understandably a depressed look on his face as he spoke in english.

Many netizens are not buying his statement and are visibly disappointed that he is shifting the blame onto others and not a sense of guilt uttered by himself. His statement also tell us that the photos are real and not photoshopped. There is a poll that believes that the person who took the pictures in the first place should be prosecuted and not the ones who spread them.

The police revealed that employees at Elite Multimedia Computer Shop had seen Edison Chen walk-in into their shop in 2006 to get his Apple notebook serviced. It is believed that a 23 year old male employee discovered the said photos and subsequently duplicated it on discs to share it with friends. The pictures subsequently leaked onto the internet. It is believed that one of the duplicated discs was lost and the whereabouts unknown. The police refused to confirm if more will get leaked after another Cecilia Chung photo was posted yesterday.

The police also confirmed that a total of 1,300 photos were discovered with at least six female stars and a male star involved. Edison Chen and Gillian Chung are the worst affected coming out of this. Cecilia Chung is more or less out of the picture since getting married and having children. Bobo Chan is hardly given a mention because of her lesser popularity. As for the other stars whose names are tainted by being linked with Edison, it would be soon forgotten as time lapses.
